The past few weeks have been a blur in The English Rose Bakery’s kitchen, I recently found out that I am expecting twins! It has taken a whole month for the news to sink in and for me to get back into the swing of things after the Christmas break.
I’m currently preparing the launch in Birmingham, the macarons are doing so well in Trafford it would be a shame for the people further South to miss out on the gorgeousness of the French delight! I went down on Wednesday to meet the staff, see the space and plan the display and couldn’t help but get extremely excited when I saw their current offering. It looks absolutely incredible!
The English Rose Bakery is launching in Selfridges Birmingham on the 1st of February
Customers at Selfridges Manchester Trafford will soon be able to get their hands on the treat of choice for celebrities such as Victoria Beckham and Eva Longoria as the English Rose Bakery arrives in store on 3 October.
Inspired by the catalyst for cupcake mania in the UK, Manchester based Macaroon maker, Emma Brown created the English Rose Bakery – a company that now supplies French Macaroons to restaurants, weddings and the people of Manchester and the North West.
These gorgeous little goodies in pretty pastels don’t just look beautiful but taste simply divine – making the perfect accompaniment to afternoon tea, as a sweet treat on the go or a stylish extra for parties.
Be sure to visit the English Rose Bakery at the Food Hall on the Upper Level from 3 October for that extra sprinkle of sweetness.
We were so excited to see the feature on The English Rose Bakery in The Telegraph magazine on the 3rd of September. Emma had to pose upstairs in the kitchen of The Castle Hotel surrounded by all her wares, whilst the photographer took a number of shots of the colourful shelled macaroons. The response to the feature has been fantastic with a huge surge of interest in the macaroons from people over the U.K. See the feature here https://www.telegraph.co.uk/foodanddrink/foodanddrinkpicturegalleries/8732659/Food-news-Sophie-Dahls-new-cookbook-and-Emma-Browns-bakery.html?image=1
The English Rose Bakery were asked to send in their signature ‘English Rose’ macaroon recipe to Ok Extra for a feature, it was great to see our macaroons on the page alongside Eva Longoria and the Gossip Girls. It seems macaroons are really ‘on trend’ at the moment! It took Emma nearly 3 months to perfect the recipe but now it is public so you can all have a go at making the notoriously difficult to make biscuit!
It’s been a super busy week for The English Rose Bakery, I got a last minute phone call from Victoria (Doodle PR) who managed to get The English Rose Bakery an article in Ok Extra! They needed 3 recipes and accompanying pictures for a foody article. I called upon the lovely David Laslett https://www.manchesterphoto.com/ who was up to his eyes photographing hundreds of spectacles, luckily, he managed to fit me in and we got some amazing pictures of English Rose macaroons, Tarte au Citron and the stunning Fraisiers. Later in the week David came to the kitchen to get a couple of action shots of me making some macaroons so they could use one for the article. I will let you all know once the magazine is out but it should be in the next couple of weeks.
