English Rose Bakery Macaron Masterclass

Here at the English Rose Bakery we have been teaching our Macaron Masterclasses for nearly a decade.  We teach you all the skills you will need to make these tasty french delicacies at home.

Where do the lessons take place?

Learn how to master the art of macaron baking with Emma and Marie in our kitchen in Urmston, Manchester.

What you will learn at our macaron masterclass?

The baking class starts with a demonstration by either Emma or Marie.  We talk you through all the equipment that you need, following this the ingredients.  Our students have the option to buy all the items at the end of the class in our shop.  Alternatively you can purchase our complete baking kits here.

Firstly our students watch us do a demonstration in which we show how to make a successful batch of macaron batter.  Following this they make their own batch of macarons with our guidance.   Whilst the macaron shells are drying we fill pre-made shells using a selection of buttercream and ganache.  Finally, we look at different ways to decorate and store them and talk through various fillings.

Everyone is given the opportunity to ask lots of questions and take away our proven techniques. After the class you take lots of macaroons home with you.

Who is the macaron masterclass suitable for?

There is no need to have any prior baking knowledge of cake making or patisserie.  Everything is taught to our students on the day.

When do the classes take place?

Our classes take place in our kitchen in Urmston, Manchester, we have a maximum of 7 students at a time.  It gives everyone the opportunity to be very hands-on in a fun class with a relaxed atmosphere.

Our macaron masterclasses run on Saturdays from our kitchen in Urmston, Manchester once a month and last 3.5 hours. Please email us for available dates and times.

We are planning to introduce other classes in the future so stay tuned.  We will announce other dessert and cake masterclasses on our social media.

Once you purchase a voucher for our macaron masterclass we send a voucher out via the post or email.  Our macaroon masterclass vouchers are valid for 12 months.

There is no need to bring anything with you on the day.  Everything will be provided, including aprons, ingredients, equipment and pretty boxes to take your macarons home with you. The masterclass class is suitable from age 12 with a maximum of 7 participants per class.

We require at least 5 days notice to reschedule a place on our classes.  In the event of a cancellation of a course  the voucher holder would be transferred to another suitable class.
