Storage

Shelf life: Best consumed within 6 days from dispatch.  Our Mother’s Day Vegan Macarons are best kept in the fridge however, they are better consumed at room temperature.

How do we make our Vegan Macarons?

Our Mother’s Day Vegan Macarons are made using only the finest ingredients in a delicious range of flavours.  Many of English Rose Bakery customers say are just as good as our normal macaron range!  Moreover, some of our customers even go as far as to say they are better!

It has taken us many years to perfect the perfect vegan macaron recipe.  We have tried many recipes and unfortunately, had lots of failed batches.  Firstly we experimented with aquafaba, which is chickpea water.  Aquafaba is used as an alternative to egg white.  This original vegan macaroon recipe worked sometimes but it wasn’t stable enough.   Sometimes they worked but sometimes not and we hate seeing vegan macaron shells going to waste.  Years later we experimented making our vegan macarons with potato protein.  This gave a much more stable vegan macaroon recipe with a texture exactly the same as our normal recipe.

The dimensions of our Mother’s Day Vegan Macarons are 10cmx16cmx5cm and weight 300g.

These macarons are around 4cm in diameter but as they are hand piped they can vary slightly.

We use recycled packaging wherever possible and aim to reduce food waste at all costs.  No matter how much baking knowledge we have we still get mis-shaped shells.  However, we fill these then take them to our friends at Goodness Zero Waste, Urmston.
